Casualties are possible when personnel from the Army are sent on missions. As a result of these casualties, some Soldiers are evacuated from the battlefield and transported to a hospital where they are treated by medical personnel.
Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya, the Chief of Army Staff, recently paid a visit to some injured soldiers in the hospital. One of the injured troops did something during the visit that earned him admiration from many Nigerians.

The Chief of Army Staff and the wounded personnel shared a moving moment. He promised them that they would be treated fairly and that their best interests would be prioritized while he was with them. The Chief of Army Staff told the wounded Soldiers that plans are already in place for some of them to be transferred abroad for treatment.
During his visit, the Chief of Army Staff, according to Onyema Nwachukwu, the Army’s Public Relations Director, made some donations to the wounded soldiers. He further stated that special treatment facilities would be established to prevent future wounded Soldiers from being flown abroad.
