Legendary Ghanaian footballer Michael Essien has in a recent post shown his support for the LGBTQ community in Ghana as he states that he is there for them whenever they need him.
Micheal who is known for his good football skills taking to his official Instagram handle revealed that Ghana is a country where the views of people are been respected therefore he is with them in this till the end.
Taking to his handle he wrote saying;
We see you, we hear you, we support you. Our LGBTQIA plus Community in Ghana #ghanasupportequality
The comment of Micheal Essien adds up to the numerous public figures who have expressed their support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community in Ghana.

President of Ghana His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo has in a statement also declared his displeasure in the current trend of the LGBTQ as he would make sure such illegal and demonic act is not been entertained in the country.
He stated saying;
I have said it before, and let me stress it again, that it will not be under the Presidency of Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo that same-sex marriage will be legal,
