JUST IN: Another Partial Lockdown Bound To Be Imposed At Some Areas

The Nana Akufo Addo led government through the ministry of Information has hint on the possibility of another partial lockdown as a measure to have the fast spreading COVID-19 disease under control.

This was made known by Hon Kojo Oppong Nkrumah,the Minister of Information in a press conference while commenting on calls for localized cases or what we term as the community spread which has now being the cause of the increment in COVID-19 cases since the borders of the country are still closed.

He noted that,when it comes to decision of the government to consider another restrictions imposition, anything else can happen. Thus,whether restrictions would be imposed once again or restrictions wouldn’t be imposed all have equal chance of taking place.

According to Hon.Kojo Oppong Nkrumah,the government’s decision as to re-introduce another restriction or not,would depend on moves of the COVID-19 epidemic as they keep a close eye on the results.

He shared the following words; “As the analysis goes on, how we have complied with this bit of the easing will inform the next line of action. A re-imposition of restrictions in some areas or further easing will all be determined by the outcomes as we observe them moving forward”.

Meanwhile, the President eased the restrictions which was imposed partially on some areas which were classified as hotspots like Accra,Tema, Kaneshie,some parts of Kasoa and also Greater Kumasi and its environs somewhere in April.

Where the president in his 10th Address to the nation on the COVID-19 epidemic also eased the restrictions on social gathering which has enabled school and worship centres to operate but with other appropriate limitations.
