Report reaching us indicates that one member of the coronavirus taskforce Shuaibu Danlami has died from the disease complications in Gombe state.
The report was further detailed that, Late Danlami, who was also the director for Special Services and Politics at the office of the Secretary to the State Government, died on Sunday, May 31 after a brief illness. Samples taken from him for testing returned positive for Coronavirus from the NCDC lab in Abuja late Tuesday, June 2.
This was confirmed by the Chairman of the state’s task force on COVID-19, Idris Mohammed, adding that both the SSG’s office complex and the Government House clinic will be closed for decontamination.
Danlami is the seventh Covid-19 death case recorded in the state.
However, contact tracing has also begun.
