
Popular Crusader Against Corruption Grabbed By Police for Blackmail; Wild Details Released -Photos
In an effort to blackmail a businessman in Bolgatanga, police in the Upper East Region have detained self-described anti-corruption activist Tii-roug Yaro Zuma.
On Monday, April 17, 2023, he would appear in front of Bolgatanga circuit court for arraignment.
Tii-roug The police have Zuma under arrest for allegedly plotting to extort money from a businessman by claiming to have a video showing the man having sex with another man’s wife at a prayer camp that is close to a drinking location. Zuma also serves as the group’s secretary, National Patriots Against Injustice and Corruption Ghana (NAPAIC-Ghana).
Zuma went on to make these assertions to a bar owner, who then scheduled a meeting between him and the businessman to discuss the situation, according to what different parties involved in the case have claimed to be his typical approach.
The aforementioned businessman, who was Tii-roug Zuma’s target in this situation, refuted the accusations of having an affair with the aforementioned woman and demanded that she and her husband be allowed to the meeting to view the video Tii-roug said he had.
According to additional reports, the self-described anti-corruption crusader fled the meeting location, leaving his motorbike and sandals behind, as he anticipated a potential accost from the businessman’s associates.
To stop the footage from being given to the woman’s husband, Tii-roug sought money from the businessman.
On Friday, April 14, 2023, he was taken into custody by the Upper East Regional police command.
You may recall that the NAPAIC Secretary was detained by the Ghana Education Service on February 17, 2020, for obtaining employment at Arigu D/A Junior High School in the West Mamprusi District of the North East Region by means of fraudulent use of his late brother Baba Zumah’s credentials.
Discerning locals have expressed concerns about his honesty as he continues to portray himself as an anti-corruption crusader, speaking on behalf of a number of organizations, the most recent of which is the National Patriots Against Injustice and Corruption Ghana (NAPAIC-Ghana).
His multiple names on various documents, which are allegedly utilized for shady dealings, are a grave dark side that raises suspicions in addition to his impersonation history, which resulted in his interdiction by the Ghana Education Service.
He goes by the names Baba Zumah on his educational credentials, Baba Zumah Yaro on his 2008-issued National Health Insurance card, and Teroug Zongbil Yaro Zumah when he registered to run in the Tindongo-Sheaga assembly member elections in 1998.
