Nelson Rolihlahla “Madiba” Mandela is arguably one of the most famous president there ever was in the world.

He is known for being an ANC (African National Congress) revolutionary who fought against the apartheid regime.

Mandela is also respected for wanting peace instead of war between black and white people of South Africa, even though he had spent almost three decades (27 years) in Robben Island.

Madiba was born on the 18th of July,1918 and passed away at age 95 in 2013. He served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. and was SA’s first black president of the country after both whites and blacks voted together in 1994.
