Report available to BROADCASTGHANA has it that seven people in Loloto-Iwaando in the Kpandai District of the Northern Region are reported to have sustained serious Cutlass wounds as reprisal attacks on their members.
In more detail, the information gathered indicates that it was around 7pm on December 9, 2020 after the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana declared the 2020 presidential election results.
Upon hearing they had won, members of NPP were jubilating with a local dance “jama” and got attacked on the way by a group believed to be NDC members leading to the breaking of the hand of one of their members.
The NPP members reacted with reprisal attacks leading to 7 sustaining serious Cutlass wounds.
Five of those who sustained Cutlass wounds were convened to a health facility and are currently receiving treatment at Salaga Government Hospital.
