It would interest you to know that Hon. Lydia Alhassan has been given a nick name in parliament which many do not know, as being revealed by NDC communications officer, Sammy Gyamfi.

Bringing the name to the limelight, Sammy Gyamfi was speaking at John Dumelo’s campaign launch and urged electorates to vote for the NDC Parliamentary Candidate Mr. John Dumelo who is outspoken and could represent their grievances in parliament.

Speaking at the NDC party’s campaign launch at the La Bawaleshie School Park on Sunday, Sammy Gyamfi took on MP for that area.

According to Sammy Gyamfi, Lydia Seyram Alhassan came to the people to plead for votes all because she was bereaved.

He stressed that after getting the votes to represent the people in parliament, she’s been silent at the law making house.

“She has never spoken in Parliament. Have you ever seen her on TV? Have you ever heard her speaking Twi or Ga or even English? She’s called “Yeah-yeah” because she doesn’t speak in Parliament.

“She only responds “yeah-yeah” to everything, whether good or bad,” Mr. Gyamfi added.
