Sad News Hits Mohammed Kudus, The Star Player for Ghana and Ajax – [More Information].

On Wednesday, April 6, 2023, after Ajax Amsterdam’s 2-1 victory against rival Feyenoord in the Dutch Cup semifinal game, Black Stars midfielder Mohamed Kudus suffered an injury.

The Ghanaian was given a starting position in the match and played admirably up until the second half, when he went down holding his hamstring and suffered a muscle injury.

Kudus had to be replaced during the game; Francisco Conceicao of Portugal took his place.

Due to the club’s failure to comment, the severity of Kudus’ injury is not yet known. It is unclear, though, whether coach John Heitinga decided to replace the Black Stars player out of prudence.

Kudus has had a strong season at the club level, tallying 18 goals and 4 assists over 38 games.

Now that it has advanced to the Dutch Cup final, Ajax will play rival PSV Eindhoven on April 30, 2023.
