Oba Samuel Afolabi, the Oyo’s oldest monarch passes on to the ancestors.
He is the Onilua of Ilua in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State. Oba Samuel is believed to the oldest king in Oyo State, died after a brief illness in the early hours of Saturday May 23.
The late monarch who was enthroned as king in the community at the age of 102, succeeded Oba Majaro in 1981.
