The countdown to Ghana’s elections is gradually winding down as 10 presidential hopefuls seek to challenge former President John Mahama and incumbent president Nana Akufo-Addo for the presidency.
The elections will virtually be reduced to the 2 biggest political parties in the country.
Today December 2, 2020 o the Angel ‘Anopa Bofoo’ morning show, the panelists of Sam Biney, Yaa Brefo, and Captain Smart discussed what will go into the upcoming elections. According to the panelists, it seems the NPP has spent a lot on Free SHS and is using that as an excuse.
Sam Biney was of the view that Ghanaians need to know that freedom is not always free as the funds are still the taxpayers’ money.
Captain Smart wondered why the government has done so little with infrastructure. Yaa Brefo tried to give reasons for that by pushing it on Free SHS.
Captain Smart however argued that the government could have still focused on infrastructure if it wanted it. He applauded John Mahama for his efforts in that area.
“When it comes to infrastructure no one can beat John Mahama. I repeat no one can beat him when it comes to that. In the fourth Republic, no president can beat John Mahama in infrastructure.
However, Ghanaians do not always vote on certain things. If they did, then the NPP wouldn’t have lost the 2008 elections” Captain said.
