Meet The Wa East MP, Dr. Godfred Seidu Jesaw Whose Achievements As First Term MP Got Everyone Talking After Being Published -Check Out His Incredible Works

Dr.Godfred Seidu Jesaw MP for Wa East constituency in the upper west region of Ghana had his achievements popped out after a recent publication on dailies concerning performances of MPs in their various constituencies in Ghana.

When broadcastghana.net reporter granted some residents of Funsi, Manwe, Goripie, Bulenga, Tuasa, Kpaglagihi and other surrounding communities interview on conditions of anonymity, the majority of them were of the view that despite their law-maker is a first timer and the constituency is also an orphan constituency,yet their law-maker performance is very good though they cannot score him a 10/10 or hundred percent but his performances in most of the area where outstanding especially in areas such as Education, Agriculture, Health, Water and Sanitation including women empowerment.

Below are some of his achievements

1. Paid fully over hundred tertiary students fees

2. Paid partly over 250 tertiary students fees

3. Organized and solely sponsored a mock examination for the 2021 final year B.E.C.E candidates.

4. Donated learning materials to all B.E.C.E Candidates across the constituency ever since he assume office as MP.

4. Complete renovation of Kpalworgu DA primary School.

5. Renovated Jeyiri Primary School

6. Renovated Kpakpalamuni primary School

7. Donated over 400 Dual metal Desk to some selected schools across the constituency.

8. Donated 50 bags of cement to Jumo primary school

1. 30% of ploughing cost absorbed for over Six thousand acres (over 3000 farmers benefitted)

2. Supported over 100 farmers with farm inputs (fertilizer and weedicide)

1. Fixed over 100 boreholes across Wa East.

2. Replaced 10 completely damage Boreholes with new ones.

3. Facilitated the construction of two irrigation dams (one in Gilan and one in Toasa- jeyiri)

1. Complete renovation and donation of a motorbike to the Motigu Health Center.

2. Fully facilitated the construction of a clinic at Kulkpong by Qatar Charity.

3. Facilitated for the convention of a community structure into a health facility at Kulun and donated a motorbike and a wheel chair to the facility.

4. Complete renovation and donation of hospital beds to the Jeyiri CHPS.

5. Donated hospital beds to Kulkpong clinic.

6. Donated hospital beds to Kpaglagi CHPS.

7. Donated hospital beds and a wheel chair to Loggu clinic.

8. Donated Ghs28,000.00  to Yaala community for the construction of a maternity ward.

9. Donated 50 bags of cement for the construction of community self initiated clinic at Jumo.

10. Donated 50 bags of cement for the construction of community self initiated clinic at Halimboe-Jikpie.

11. Donated 50 bags of cement for the construction of community self initiated clinic at Sombiisi.

12. Paid Ghs6,000.00 as electricity bill for Kandeh CHPS to be reconnected to the national grid.

13. Paid 4,000 cedis as electricity bill for Gudayiri CHPS to be reconnected to the national grid.

14. Donated Veronica buckets,hand sanitizers and liquid soaps across the Constituency during the covid-19 period.

15. Organized free eye screening across the constituency. Over 200 constituents went through eye surgery successful (Full cost absorbed by MP)

Some communities also said they labeled some roads through their law maker to work in tandem with the government to forestall the situation especially roads linking farming communities.

A constituent by name Ibrahim Goripie said “We have had MPs for the past but Dr.Godfred Seidu Jesaw is the best for now because in the area of scholarships and education he spend millions of Ghana cedi despite an opposition MP”

Dr.Godfred Seidu Jesaw is a first time member of parliament and 7th of January 2023 is going to mark his two years as a law maker.
