Mahama’s 24Hour Economy Policy Charged Up In Wa As Massive Crowd Hit The Street -WATCH
The Upper West regional branch of the National Democratic Congress NDC has embarked on a mammoth street walk believed to be 24 hour economy walk.
At about 6:OOam Saturday morning, regional,polling station including members of parliament and party sympathizers came out in a massive united front to demonstrate the feasibility of the 24h economic policy proposed by former president John Dramani Mahama and the NDC to the general public.
The walk from the upper west Regional coordinating council through to insurance road,connecting the Wa ieper street to the JJ Rawlings high street and to Zongo link back to the J.J.Rawlings high street then ended at the starting point caused much vehicular traffic, difficulties in pedestrians movement on the wa major township roads.
According to Dr.Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, MP for wa central Constituency and upper west parliamentary caucus leader ”the 24h economy would ensure job creation to absorb the unemployment canker that bedeviled the country”.He also charged Party sympathizers to descend information on the 24h economy to the general public in order to be abreast on this flagship policy the NDC is looking forward to implement.
Dr.Sebastian Sandaari,Dr.Seidu Jesaw,Hon Bede Zieden,Hon Peter lanchene Toobu, Members of parliament for Daffiama Issa,Wa East,Lawra and Wa west constituency respectively all threw much emphasis on the need for Ghanaians to embrace the policy.
The upper west regional chairman Abdul Nasr Saani used the platform to urge party members to bury their differences in the recently held party internal elections and vote massively for John Dramani and his members of parliament especially in upper west in order to score the agenda 11/11 they yearning for.
He also cautioned Party members to desist from voting “skirt and blouse”saying “John Dramani Mahama would be able to deliver to expectations when he has numbers in the legislative house.
The 24h Economy envisaged by former president Mahama and the NDC sparked a lot of controversies between vice president and presidential candidate for the NPP on airwaves on it existence.
