An eminent citizen, Mr. Kwesi Dawood has petitioned the Speaker of Parliament to conduct thorough investigations into the criminal conducts of two unruly MPs and to punish them accordingly for stated criminal conducts and documented misbehavior unbecoming of MPs.

The petition names Mavis Hawa Koomson of Awutu Senya East and Kennedy Ohene Agyapong of Assin Central Constituencies as the offending Legislators and humbly prays the Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament to institute a probe into their conducts and be made to suffer the necessary punishment should they be found liable for the alleged stated wrongdoings.

In the petition, Mr. Dawood cited some unruly acts by the controversial member of parliament for Assin Central Hon Kennedy Agyapong including allegations the member of parliament made against the former president Mr. John Dramani Mahama together with some executives of the party over the rampant fire outbreaks that hit the country in the latter days of 2020.

The petition further highlighted other acts of attempted arson by the Assin Central Member of Parliament on some executives of the leading opposition party NDC.

In the case of Honourable Mavis Hawa Koomson, the petition cited the following:

That Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson visited the Step to Christ polling station in the Awutu Senya East Constituency on Monday 20th July 2020 during the voter registration exercise in the company of some well-built men to
disrupt the registration process.
. That the men in her company and under her orders physically assaulted persons including persons with a disability, seized the mobile phones of persons who attempted to record their acts of vandalism, and fired
gunshots at the crowd which had shown up for the registration exercise.
That the Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson and her thugs burnt down a motorbike belonging to one of those who had shown up to be registered.
That the Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson later on the same Monday, July 20th, 2020 in a television interview with Adom TV unreservedly admitted that she indeed fired the gun at the said polling station at that material time.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) demanded that the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service investigates Kennedy Ohene Agyapong for threats issued against some of its members.
