The Nzema Maanle, led by the youth groups, Nvavile Family of the Osagyefo Dr. Koame Ngonloma , the Chiefs and people of Nzema will be holding a press conference against the denigration of the personality of the Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and the image of the Nzemas, through books published for use by schools kids at basic 6.
This was made known to Nana Kwadwo Asempa on Yonkopa fm Kaseaboso by Lord S.K Cudjoe, spokesperson of the Press Conference Planning Committee and a former Assembly Member of Nkroful in the Ellembelle District, Mr Cudjoe explained that the 7 paramount Chiefs making the Nzema Maanle will continue to call on relevant institutions to come against the publisher whose intent is to peddle falsehood something against the former president through books for kids to learn, so that world history could become distorted by discrediting the good works of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
He added that, what they have done will mislead the future generation and create a disunited Ghana. He stressed that what we know about Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is what had been written by historian and it has become useful to Ghana, but the current stories circulating in the country describing the former president as a dictator will mislead the new generation about the history of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah .
According to him, after reading the book published by the author, you could see that what the author had published lacks some fact and deliberately wants to tarnish the reputation of the late president, so it is prudent to hold press conference on 5th April 2021 to create awareness to all stakeholders to intervene and condemn the act he said.
