HON. BERNARD AHIAFOR, MP FOR AKATSI SOUTH CELEBRATES EID-UL-FTIR WITH MUSLIMS
I am here together with my executives, representing the National Democratic Congress and His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to join you to celebrate this historic Eid-Ul-Fitr.
First of all, I commend the leadership of the Muslim community for strict adherence to COVID-19 health protocols.
We are in a difficult moment. This is an unusual period, and so we must change our ways of doing things.
It is our wish to once again aid in the distribution of items to help the celebration. However, lethal COVID-19 protocols may be circumvented.
I therefore present Ghc5000 and Ghc2000 to you Akatsi and Wute Muslim communities respectively, towards an edifice that will serve as a remembrance of this year’s Eid-Ul-Fitr.
I am glad to hear that, Akatsi and Wute Muslim leaderships have agreed to use this token to acquire a parcel of land for their Cemetery in Akatsi and construct Arabic and English school at Wute.
The NDC will continue to be grateful to the Muslim community for their unflinching support to mother Ghana.
Let us unite and pray against this deadly pandemic. I have a strong belief that the Almighty Allah will see us through.
This too shall pass and we will triumph.
Long Live Ghana!
Long Live Muslims!!
God Bless Us All!!!
Signed.
Hon. Bernard Ahiafor, MP
