VfB Stuttgart has sent a strong message about its ambitions for the coming season after turning down a big-money offer for forward Jamie Leweling.

According to Sky’s Florian Plettenberg, Nottingham Forest submitted an official bid worth €20 million plus €5 million in bonuses for the 24-year-old German-Ghanaian forward.

The Bundesliga side swiftly rejected the approach, signalling their determination to keep one of their most dynamic attackers. Leweling has impressed with his pace, direct play and work ethic, becoming a key part of Stuttgart’s attack. His contributions last season helped fuel the club’s strong performances, and fans have grown attached to his energy on the pitch.

Plettenberg reports that Leweling is not for sale, with indications pointing toward him staying at Stuttgart for the foreseeable future. Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, are not expected to return with a new bid this summer. A move could be revisited in one of the next two transfer windows, but for now, Leweling’s future appears firmly tied to the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
