Liverpool are believed to be targeting Bayer Leverkusen full-back Jeremie Frimpong as they look to bolster their squad this summer.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot is highly impressed with the Netherlands international and is keen on bringing him to Anfield according to reports from Germany.

Frimpong, who joined Bayer Leverkusen from Manchester City in January 2021, has emerged as a key player for the German club, making 100 Bundesliga appearances, scoring 18 goals, and winning 56 matches.

His current contract includes a buyout clause in the region of €40-45 million (£33.7-38 million), making him a potential target for Liverpool.

Valued at €50 million by Transfermarkt, the 23-year-old right-back is contracted with Bayer Leverkusen until 2028. Frimpong has represented the Netherlands in Euro 2024 and is reportedly considering his future at the club.

He is said to be dreaming of a move to a top European club, with Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Arsenal also believed to be interested.

Germany outlet Bild indicates that Frimpong is open to a potential move this summer, which could prompt Liverpool to make a substantial bid to secure his services.
