Konkombas In Ghana Initiate Educational Endowment Fund to Support Their Needy Students

Konkombas in Ghana have initiated an educational endowment Fund known as KONKOMBA EDUCATION ENDOWMENT FUND (KEEF).

This fund would in the near future provide Educational scholarships to the brilliant but needy Konkomba students to pursue educational programs.

The fund would also cater to other Educational needs in Konkomba land so as to promote and improve formal education among Konkombas.

Konkomba of Ghana is a promising and fast-growing ethnic group in but due to their major occupation as peasant farmers, most of their students after successfully completing first and second cycle institutions are not able to proceed to the next levels due to financial constraints.

It is against this background that a group of concerned Konkombas has thought it wise to come up with this initiative to help develop the human resources of the group!

The fund  has the following members as the proposed Board of Directors

1.Mr.Kwame Waja, a legal expert

2.Dr.Dora Neina,a Lecturer(UG)

3.Hon.Moses Mabengba, Lecturer/Politician

4.Mr.J.B.Alhassan, Entrepreneur

5.Mr.Jacob Kotin Community Dev’t expert

6.Ubor Wumbei Dawuni, the traditional leader

7.Prof.Justice N.Bawole, Lecturer/Administrator (UG)

8.Apostle Michael Kupa,Clergy

9.Madam Grace Ntekimi,Women Rep.

The membership to the management Committee also include:

The fund is expected to kick start as soon as possible and for that matter, seed capital of Ghc50,000 is expected from all well-meaning Konkombas across the globe.
