To avoid relegation to the Championship, Daniel Farke has added several new players this summer, and former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is close to joining on a free transfer. However, most of their title-winning team remains, and they should be confident before this curtain raiser after losing only one of their last 28 league games (W19, D8).

After a summer of change, Everton moved from Goodison Park to Hill Dickinson Stadium. David Moyes has added six new players to his squad, including Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea and Jack Grealish from Manchester City on a season-long loan.
