Atalanta head coach Gianpiero Gasperini has shed light on why Ghana midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana has struggled for game time this season.
According to Gasperini, the presence of other top players in the team limited Sulemana's opportunities.
Despite limited appearances, Gasperini believes Sulemana has potential and will earn more game time in the future.
"I didn’t get to use him [Sulemana] much mainly because we had some real heavy hitters in front of him but he’s earned it no question," Gasperini explained.
Gasperini expressed optimism about Sulemana's future prospects, saying, "I hope and I’m certain he’ll have plenty to smile about in the future."
Sulemana's goal against Roma showcased his talent and secured Atalanta's Champions League spot for next season.
